You can now use your OEM triple tree when you want to run bolt down bars on the Sportster 48.
If you want to run the typical bolt-down style handlebars but your triple tree doesn’t have the 1/2” (12.7mm) holes to bolt them into, then you’ll need this. With our bar adapter, you can keep your stock triple clamp and install bolt-down bars without the hassle of getting a different triple tree for your forks. This is most common on Sportster Forty-Eights. The spacing in between the two mounting points are 3.5” inches (88.9mm), which is standard.
IMPORTANT:
On a 48, you will have to relocate your speedometer since its molded into the handlebar clamp, which this adapter eliminates. We have many different speedo-relos to choose from in the accessories section.
