This is inspired by our Japanese automotive interest because the mushroom filter is used in many intake systems for JDM cars. The creativity lies in making it work aesthetically and functionally with an American made machine. The base cannot be milled because of the design complexities so we extruded a nylon+carbon fiber polymer that exceeds OEM (ABS plastic) tolerances in temperature, heat dissipation, and airflow.
